Patient preparation · In development
Know what to expect before the day.
Calm, step-by-step experiences that help patients get ready for scans and procedures, designed with children and neurodivergent patients in mind.
The idea
Fewer surprises. Calmer appointments.
Unfamiliar rooms, loud machines and having to lie still can make a scan or procedure hard for anyone, and much harder for an anxious child or someone with sensory differences.
We're building preparation experiences patients can go through at home, at their own pace, as many times as they like. They see the room, hear the sounds and meet the people they'll see on the day.
How we're designing it
Built around the patient.
In their control
Patients choose the pace, can pause at any point and can turn sounds down until they're ready.
Calm by default
Soft colours, clear language and no sudden surprises, with options for different sensory needs.
Shaped with your team
We'll work with radiographers, play specialists and families so each experience matches what really happens.
