Care and health

Dementia care training that feels like the real thing.

Give care staff a safe place to practise the conversations they'll face on shift, and give managers the evidence that they've done it.

The training problem

The hardest moments are the ones no one gets to practise.

New starters often meet distress, confusion or refusal of care for the first time with a real resident, and with no one watching to help them learn from it.

E-learning and classroom sessions explain what good practice looks like. They can't give people the experience of doing it under pressure. Shadowing helps, but it depends on which shifts someone works and who they work with.

Echoscape XR gives every member of staff the same realistic practice, as often as they need it, without putting a resident at the centre of someone's learning curve.

The scenario

Margaret responds to how you treat her.

Margaret is an AI character living with dementia. She reacts to what the learner says and does, and becomes calmer or more distressed depending on how they respond.

No two runs are the same, so staff can come back to her and still be challenged.

More about Margaret

What managers get

Evidence you can show an inspector.

A debrief after every run

Learners see what went well, what to try next time, and why it matters for the person in front of them.

Training records

See who has practised, how often and how they're getting on, for supervision and audits.

Mapped to standards

Scenarios are mapped to the training standards care staff work to, including Care Certificate Standard 9 on dementia awareness.

Devices

Works with what you have.

  • VR headsetThe full, immersive experience. Best for training days and induction.
  • DesktopFor training rooms and offices without headsets.
  • PhoneQuick refreshers between shifts, wherever staff are.

Pilot programme

Run Margaret with your team.

We're inviting a small number of care groups to pilot Echoscape XR before wider launch.

Who it's for
Care groups and providers who train their own staff, and NHS or university simulation teams.
What you get
Early access to Margaret, setup support, and a say in the scenarios we build next.
What we ask
Honest feedback from your trainers and staff, so we can make it better.
Next step
Book a demo and tick "Tell me about the pilot programme".

See it for yourself in a short demo.

We'll show you a scenario running, talk through what your team needs to practise, and explain how the pilot programme works.
